Solar shades are HOT right now!!!

Solar roller shades have been the go to window treatment the last few years and show no signs of slowing down. I have to say these have become my favorite window treatment. Solar shades can solve a multitude of problems. Made in the Shade can offer you hundreds of varieties in colors and styles.

For residential homes, these shades are becoming more and more popular. Lately we’ve been installing these in several areas, sun rooms, out door rooms, living rooms. One of the interesting recent installation was hanging them behind curtains and cellular shades so when the shades were pulled the solar shade could come down and protect the room from the heat and UV rays so the home owner could  still see out side.

Solar shades are also one of the hottest treatments for businesses. I would say it would be hard to find a store from or office these days that didn’t have solar shades. Have you been to Starbucks lately? Yes they all have solar shades. Schools have been switching to solar shades too. the class rooms are cooler and there is no glare on the computer screens. Also for schools, hospitals and nursing homes the fact that these shades are fire retardant is a must.

Openness factor, what is that you ask? We have shades with a 1% which is virtually a black out shade, you can not see through this one, next is a 3% you can see somewhat through this one but it gives a great glare control, 5 % has been our best seller it keeps the room much cooler but gives you a great view to the out side. Openness goes from a 1% up to 25%, we defiantly can find the right one for you.

Solar shades do not offer nighttime privacy, lighter interiors allow inward visibility.  So if night time privacy is needed add a dual shade or a secondary treatment.
