Recently we worked with a client that had every window in the house replaced with new ones. Our clients really wanted to add shutters to their home. The windows they chose were tilt in windows for easy cleaning so finding a shutter they felt would work would  probably be difficult. Our suggestion was to take the old trim off and replace it with the trim of the shutter frame. The results were beautiful!

A lot of windows here in the Mid West do not have any depth to mount a shutter in side.
